SCA Kit(Sinus Crestal Approach)

 

Drill Sinus Cortical Wall With No Fear!

Crestal Approach without Membrane Damage.


 


Introduction

 


 

 SCA Kit is a drilling tool on the inferior cortical bone without tearing of membrane and make a perforation on the inferior cortical bone without malleting osteotome technique. Therefore, user can get CMI fixation(Initial fixation in Crestal cortical bone, Middle cancellous bone and inferior cortical bone) 

 

Advantages

* Special Reamer for Safe surgery
S-reamer is the main instrument of SCA kit. Its head with a special blade structure has been designed to perforate the sinus inferior cortical bone without sinus membrane tearing and it makes thins bone disk between membrane and reamer. Reamer does not touch sinus membrane directly, so it is safer. Furthermore, it could be applicable to even in the misaligned, septum cases.

Initial Drill

 Drill for creating guide hole upon designating the precise point before using S-reamer

 

 

 

 


S-Reamer

 S-reamer is the main instrument of SCA kit that creates desired size hole on the sinus inferior cortical wall without damaging chneiderian membrane.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Stopper

The stopper is composed of 10pieces, 2mm~11mm. Each 1mm step make the S-reamer stop to insert maximum 1mm in sinus. To prevent membrane rupture by physical pressure.

 

 

 

 


Depth gauge

Depth gauge is an instrument for measuring the depth of the remaining bone upon perforating with S-reamer

 

 

 

 


Bone Carrier

Bone carrier is used to carry the bone grafting materials into osteotome site

 

 

 

 


Bone condenser

Bone condenser is used to keep the graft materials in place on the fl oor of the sinus
through the osteotome site.

 

 

 


Bone Inserter

Spiral Bone Inserter is an instrument which is for bone graft to push the bone into sinus
after inserting the bone into a hole with bone carrier Bone inserter can be safely used
without any damages at membrane after combination with 1mm long Stopper.

 

 

 


Bone Spreader

The bone inserted in the sinus fl oor can be spread out to a lateral direction(left and right side) by this tool thereafter the sinus membrane at the inferior aspect of the osteotomy its naturally detached from the fl oor of the maxillary sinus and elevated upward to create more space in the fl oor of the sinus for the bone-graft material.

 





Procedure

 

 

 

 1. Initial Drill

 - Mark a position and drill to the front of the inferior cortical wall ('D').

 - Stopper : Depth ('D').

 - Speed : 1,200 rpm

 

 

 2. S-Reamer

 - Drill inferior cortical wall and lift sinus membrane about 1mm.

 - Stopper : Same length as depth

 - Speed : 1,200 rpm

 

 

 3. S-Reamer

 - If you don't feel the perforation of the inferior cortical wall in step 2 change stopper to depth + 1mm.

 - Stopper : Depth + 1mm

 - Speed 1,200 rpm

 

 

 

 4. Depth Gauge

 - Check the inferior wall's perforation by hanging the end of the depth gauge in the sinus wall.

 - Stopper : Depth + 1mm

 

 

 

 5. Bone Carrier

 - Fill carrier and insert bone graft (0.05cc)

 

 

 

 6. Bone Condenser

 - Push bone graft into sinus

 - Stopper : Depth length

 

 

 

 7. Bone Inserter

 - Push bone inside by turning bone inserter slowly.

 - Stopper : Depth - 1mm

 - Speed : 80 rpm

 

 

 

 8. Bone Spreader

 - Spread the bone laterally in sinus area wall ('D').

 - Use the bone spreader after inserting bone twice. (0.1cc)
